Bridge-dependent, but far less so than it was: two new bridges opened in March 2026 under a 450-million-dirham programme, cutting peak journeys by around fifteen minutes and adding capacity for 7,200 vehicles an hour. Abu Dhabi has no metro; parking on the island is podium and basement as standard.
Reem is all towers, so deliveries go to reception. Shams, Najmat, City of Lights and Marina Square are separate sub-communities with their own building names — tell us which one you are in.

Where to run
Reem Central Park covers around a million square feet with sports courts and a skate park, and the waterfront promenades along Shams and Najmat are the evening run.
Since April 2023 the whole of Al Reem sits inside ADGM, so English common law applies on the island. It is a genuinely unusual thing to be able to say about where you live.
