These terms apply when you order a meal plan from Zero Fat Meals. They are written to be read rather than to be impressive.
What you are buying
A meal plan is a fixed number of meals, delivered on the days you chose, over the period you chose. You pay once, in advance, for that plan. It does not renew automatically, we do not keep your card, and we cannot take a further payment without you placing a new order yourself.
The price you see when you build your plan is the price you pay. Delivery is free everywhere we deliver and there is no minimum order.
Ordering and lead time
Our kitchen needs notice to buy and cook your food, so your first delivery is scheduled a set number of days after you order. The plan builder shows you the earliest date you can start before you pay.
We may decline or cancel an order — for example if we cannot deliver to your address, or if we cannot serve a dietary requirement safely. If we do, you get a full refund.
Delivery
We deliver in the window you chose. Please make sure somebody can receive the food, or that reception or a concierge can take it. If nobody is available we will leave it in the safest place we reasonably can and message you. Once we have delivered to the address you gave us, the food is your responsibility — please refrigerate it promptly.
Traffic, weather and events occasionally delay a delivery. If we cannot deliver on a day at all, we add that day to the end of your plan.
Changing, pausing and skipping
You can change the meals on any day that has not yet been prepared. Message us before the daily cut-off and we will make the change.
If you are travelling we will pause your plan for as many delivery days as you need. Pausing moves the end of your plan out by the same number of days, so you do not lose meals you have paid for. The same applies to skipping a single day.
Cancellations and refunds
If you cancel before your first delivery, you get a full refund. If you cancel part-way through a plan, we refund the meals we have not yet prepared for you. We cannot refund meals that have already been cooked and delivered, because fresh food cannot be resold.
If something we delivered was wrong, damaged or not of the quality you should expect, tell us the same day and we will replace it or refund it. We would rather hear about it than not.
Allergies and dietary requirements
You can exclude ingredients when you build your plan, and those dishes are then removed from your menu entirely rather than left for you to avoid. We take this seriously and our kitchen and delivery staff see your exclusions on every order.
However, our food is prepared in a kitchen that handles nuts, dairy, gluten, eggs and seafood, and we cannot guarantee that a dish is entirely free of traces of an allergen. If you have a severe allergy, please speak to us before ordering so we can tell you honestly whether we can serve you safely.
Our meals are food, not medical treatment. Nutrition information is provided in good faith and portions are weighed, but if you have a medical condition please take advice from your doctor or a registered dietitian about what is right for you.
Halal
Every dish we make is halal. We use no pork and no alcohol in any recipe.
Prices
Prices are in UAE dirhams and are shown inclusive of any applicable VAT. We may change our prices, but a change never affects a plan you have already bought — you keep the price you paid for the whole of that plan.
Your account and your details
Please keep your delivery address and phone number up to date, and tell us if they change mid-plan. We cannot deliver to an address we do not have.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, and the courts of the emirate in which we are registered have jurisdiction over any dispute.
